I see Bill's Barbary Coast Gamblin' Hall has put together a
considerable lineup of lounge acts. No fewer than 10 bands now rotate
in and out of the nightly schedule, not to mention the plus-sized Big
Elvis performing five afternoons a week. On Friday and Saturday nights
there's live music until 5 AM.

What? No Pickadillos?

I went to the Pickadillos website today, but it wasn't there. Did the
Pickadillos go away, or did I have the wrong URL?

Last we heard, Steve was putting together a new band for 2008 and
practicing to be a lead vocalist. His bandmate, the most excellent
guitarist Raj Rathor, was supposed to remain in the new group.

Maybe Steve will pick a new name for the band as well.

First rehearsal is on Monday. We have a cat named Nelson Whitehead on bass
guitar and J.T. Lowery is SMOKIN' mandolin player. Both hail from Georgia
and are really solid players. Just have to add drums. We should be gigging
by spring time.

Same name.. I just need to login and make my domain registrar happy!

That's good news. I look forward to hearing the new band.

I will never knock SHK's banjo pickin'. But his voice sounds like an alley
cat being neutered without anesthesia.
