Has anyone heard or know of any new hotels in Las Vegas (new strip)
that have opened up in the last 8 months or will be opening up any
time in the near future?

Thanks

The Westin (Old Maxim) is not yet open (as of 9-28-03 when I left LV).
Scheduled to open sometime in October but from the look of the construction
still going on, I don't know if they will make the date or not.

Tuscany has been open about 10 months now on Flamingo near Koval. Spent
time there in April and had a blast as it is a small casino and the people
were friendly. Visited briefly in September and hasn't changed much. Still
found all friendly. Their upscale restaurant really had some nice food.
Good quality and not overpriced.

billb, I also did not have time to visit you while I was there. Wanted to,
and even drove by Joker's Wild, but I was on the way down Boulder to find a
guest that was coming in for the night from Yuma that got lost. Most of the
rest of the time I was in a conference (lousy way to spend time in LV).
