This should in no way be taken as a recommendation, but the Sahara
buffet will be $6.99 for dinner every night of the week. It won't be
good, but it'll be cheap. Cheapest on the Strip.

Let me get this straight....the Sahara will pay me $6.99 to eat their
buffet? Not high enough; I'd hold out for more $$$.

You're off by $13.98, Cameron.
What I think is funny is the "champagne brunch" on Saturday and Sunday
will be $14 until 4 p.m., at which time the gilded cuisine will
magically turn back into a rotten pumpkin.
Anyway, I am just passing on what the folks at their PR firm sent to
me.

I don't know about you Matt, but I will not eat at the Sahara buffet for any
price.

I think I would rather eat the rotten pumpkin than at the Sahara
barffet.

The buffet is the worst, but the coffee shop is one of my favorites.
Very "old school", and the pancakes rock.

I hate to disagree but I eat at their breakfast buffet at least once per
trip and I've eaten their dinner buffet, too. Its more like a cafeteria
than any other place on the Strip but It's really not bad for a cheap
meal. I've had far worse buffet experiences at Flamingo, the IP (almost
- I walked out), and the Plaza. (I've never eaten the dreaded Circus
Buffet and never made it to the old Boardwalk) |

LVA reported that the Sahara lunch buffet had increased to 12.99 and
that the dinner buffet was back to 6.99. I found the price
structuring interesting and thought it might have been a mistake.
Heck, for 6.99 and a ACG twofer coupon, I just might give it a try. |

Joe,
One year we ate at the CC buffet just for laughs. When we came out, we
weren't laughing.
At Sahara, a hostess or a cashier asked us if we enjoyed our meal. My buddy
Joe pointed to the sign that said "Carry outs not allowed" and told her
"Don't flatter yourself".
The Flamingo has a nice enough room overlooking the courtyard and the pool
area beyond, but the buffet itself is well below average. What's with that
awful candied fruit? |

Maybe I'll take the bullet for AVLV and eat the Sahara
Buffet this weekend, see if I can get enough money
from matchplays compensate me.

Whoa. Are you going to win matchplays to compensate you for the price,
or to compensate you for pain and suffering?
If the latter, you must have a boatload of matchplays.
